1. Who is your character's PB?
Rosie Vela2. Which came first, the character or the PB?
The character. She sat idle for a great while, however and then started speaking up again. It was a long search to get it right.3. Why did you choose this particular PB?
The Muse decided what it was that she wanted. She doesn't look a whole lot like either of her parents - recessive genes perhaps? Al I know is that the imagery of Rosie Vela was perfect for Caroline de Rochefort. Since Caroline was a singer, too, and Rosie Vela has both pictures and videos from her own work and that which she did with ELO and others, it further emphasized the rightness of this particular choice to represent Caroline. 4. How close is the PB to your character? What are the differences, if any?
I would say very closely. She is very tall, slender, not very buxom, and has masses (!!) of strawberry blonde curls. She is rather soft spoken and she is in a lot of ways very sweet and non-confrontational. These traits of which some can be seen as positive and others as not-so-positive really sort of lend themselves to Caroline's challenges as well. 5. Have you modified the PB in any way to be more like your character?
No, not at all. Since Rosie Vela was both a fashion model and a recording star, there is alot of imagery out there to use.6. Have you ever changed your character's PB / would you ever? Why, or why not?
Yes. Originally she started out as Mia Sara, but the muse definitely did not really work with dark hair and eyes. The fresh, almost Celts look of her made absolute sense for Caroline and here she is.7. Where did you find icons of your PB, or did you make them yourself?
I do a great many Google searches, I also have some books and fashion magazines from the 80's, various things that I saved ironically that had Rosie Vela in them. I never thought about using them as PB imagery until just a couple of years ago. Now I just make the icons and manips myself. I have a couple of very good ones that were also done by the scribe for immortalsparta
, who has done a fantastic job. 8. Is it important to have an appropriate PB for your character? Why or why not?
Because it really does help tie the story together and gives both writer and reader a good reference or jumping off point for the imagination. 9. Have you ever been favorably/unfavorably predisposed towards a character because you liked or didn't like the PB choice?
Well, I do know that Caroline stopped and went, "Wow!" when she saw Stelios' PB, Michael Fassbender. She was the one who initiated conversation with him and their relationship developed slowly over time. It really was rather perfect how it played out. Other muses, she will stay away from if they look too intimidating. 10. Have you ever had a character who was represented by text icons / no icon only because they were too difficult to find a PB for?
I think all of my muses, except Caroline has some sort of text representation, but usually the pictures nearly always win out.
